I have always enjoyed oats for breakfast. My Ah Kong used to cook oats for me and he would often surprise me at school with a serving of oats in a little aluminium container for recess.
When I used to have a maid I could still enjoy a bowl of oats for breakfast but now that we no longer have a maid I am deprived of one of my favourite breakfast foods simply because it is too much of a bother to light the stove and cook the oats. And once it's cooked it's too hot to eat.
So I decided to Google "no-cook oats" and the results led me to:

I was inspired to modify and create my own No-Cook Overnight Refrigerator Oats. Here's my recipe.
Basic Ingredients:
1/3 cup rolled oats
3 tsp chia seeds
2 bottles Vitagen (I used LB flavour but any flavour will do depending on what other goodies you want to throw into the mixture)
Add-ons:
Dried cranberries, dried apricots, raisins, dates, bananas, peaches, grapes, mangoes, all kinds of nuts, etc
Put all the ingredients into a Tupperware, jar or any container with a tight cover and shake well. Leave overnight in the refrigerator and tomorrow morning your healthy breakfast is ready to be served! So easy and so tasty.
They are also so convenient to bring along whenever I join Hubby for breakfast.
Note: I prefer to add the nuts and fresh fruits the next morning.
