...that, to some people, 4.00am on Friday is still considered Thursday night?

I was booking a cab for 4.00am on Friday morning. Simple. Straight forward. Easy to understand, right? No.

At first the driver said, "No problem." Then confusion set in. He asked whether it's Thursday or Friday.

Apparently, from the Chinese/Asian perspective, it is still Thursday night as long as the sun hasn't risen on Friday morning. Or so he said. I don't know whether he is joking or not. Is he?

An Answered Prayer

I wanted to ask a favour from someone and instead I received this reply:

You are a prayer answered from above.

God, indeed, works in mysterious ways. He has the big picture and somehow He manages to orchestrate everything so well that everyone is blessed.

One thing I do know, it's good to experience answered prayers but it is even better to be an answered prayer!

My Heart Overflows

I read 'bee's blog this morning and my heart simply overflows with gratitude to God for sending loving and caring angels, who go out of their way, to give my babee a home-cooked meal and share their family with her when she's far away from home.

God bless the Lau family. Mere words are not enough to express my thanks to you all.

Overheard

I was on the escalator when I overheard two girls discussing the escalating prices of things.

1st Girl: It was double the price.

2nd Girl: Not just double, maybe triple or even four-ple!

How's that for creativity?
